The Rock of Cashel is located in Co. Tipperary, and is the supposed site where St. Patrick visited in the 5th century. There is a large church complex built there, with elaborate and modern graves. From the wall, you can see the ruins of another place. I had to shoot through the opening in the wall to get this building. Thanks to ~Vitoldus for help with editing.

Heres another veiw, from the abbey.
[link] -- My grandfather-in-law grew up in Cashel. Last time I went to Ireland, he took us on a crazy-cool tour of The Rock and showed us all the places he and his friends got hurt while playing among the ruins when they were kids.
Anyway, very nice picture of the surrounding landscape. -- There's a ninja right behind you. Don't see him? Exactly. I like the framing, it makes me feel like i'm there, looking out. Ok, that proly sounds lame, but thx 4 sharing this photo.

The one thing I didn't like (which was also out of the control of the artist) was the modern lamppost and pathway in the bottom of the picture. But, I wouldn't hold that against the artist.
The castle does seem a little too dark. We lose a lot of the detail because the artist was so far away from the subject.
All in all, I think the biggest fault is also the greatest asset of this piece. The central placing of the castle in the frame. It lessens the impact but brings all focus to the overall scene. I don't know if I would be so adventurous, but it definitely works here.
I think this is a wonderful photo and can't wait to see more of the like.
