Artist's Comments  My dad and I went to the Notre Dame vs. Navy football game on November 11, 2007. It's a family tradition we've had for over fifty years. Every year we buy the same exact seats and have tickets to all the games. My grandpa used to take my dad when he was little.  The University of Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana. The team till this season had a forty year winning streak against Navy. However, this season was one of their worst ever. I think they'd lost 6/7 games in a row up till that point. It was a close run the entire game. One kept edging over the other, and they had three overtimes or so. Navy narrowly won. Damn. The guys in this shot looked happy they weren't the ones squished into the ground at the moment. Though by the look of their pants, they'd been scooting in the grass too. --- Shot manually from the stands with my telephoto. I'd have given my leg and arm to be down at the sidelines. Edited with the sponge (w/desaturation) tool in CS3 to get rid of some chromatic abberation. |
