I stole this from @MC-Frizzle's journal since I am tired and unable to sleep as well. I also get asked a lot what the heck my username means.

The first half comes from Iaia of Cyzicus. She was a famous artist in Rome(~116-27 B.C). She made more money than other male artists at the time,a major accomplishment back then. Her name still survives despite the loss of all her work. I came across her name during my AP Art History class my senior year of high school. It was pretty sounding and her situation seemed particularly funny to me at the time. Shortly after that class, I joined deviantART. Picking an ancient artist as part of my username seemed like a given (I have a thing about ancient Roman history ).

The second half has absolutely no connection to it. I like roses and it sounded nice with it, so I tacked Rose onto Iaia.

So, I'd like to hear your story too. Where did you come up with your deviantART name?

It's snowing where I live, and Christmas is coming early I went entirely haywire at the store after Thanksgiving, and went shopping at 4 am on Black Friday last week. I hit Best Buy twice, Target, Office Depot, and Michael's. My parents got an Acer Net top out of it, which works really well. They also let me try out the new Polaroid PoGo printer I'll be getting under the tree . The color reproduction is okay and the bluetooth picture sending rocks. It works best with DSLR quality shots though.

I am doing a lot of really nice stuff this year for the holidays, especially this Christmas. I've never been quite this excited for the month.

My hat, it blew away!

I would just like to say it's been an honor serving this community. However, my job and my semblance of a life take up all of my time nowadays. I am resigning from my position as a Message Network Operator. Thank you $Tachy-on very much for giving me the opportunity to help out. I love all of you guys!
